  • Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue Massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement. To do this, the massage therapist often uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. $30 - 1/2 Hour Session $60 - 1 Hour Session $85 - 1 1/2 Hour Session $110 - 2 Hour Session

  • Neuromuscular Therapy

The American Academy of Pain Management recognized neuromuscular therapy as the most effective type of massage for treating soft tissue injury. Neuromuscular therapy consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure to alleviate pain caused by ischemic muscle tension. It uses Passive Positional Release (PPR) together with nerve proprioceptors and muscle spindle cells to help achieve release. Neuromuscular therapy works with the muscles, ligaments, and soft tissue of the body along with the nervous system. By using the nervous system synergistically with the muscles the body becomes "tricked" into not feeling pain. $30 - 1/2 Hour Session $60 - 1 Hour Session $85 - 1 1/2 Hour Session $110 - 2 Hour Session

  • Hot Stone Massage

An authentic hot stone massage is not simply the placement or gliding of heated stones lightly upon the surface of the skin, but rather the stones are used as tools to deliver effective tissue and muscle massage at a pressure level comfortable to the client. The client can request light, medium or deep pressure, which is the beauty of the hot stone massage technique. It can be customized in an instant to the request of the client. The stones adapt well to deep tissue massage and are easy on the joints of the therapist's hands. Therapeutic heat range of the stones is 104 - 112° F. The heat from the stones relaxes muscles and increases the blood flow to the area being worked on which is said to further accelerate the healing process. This increase in circulation and the relaxation of the muscles is also claimed to aid in mental relaxation. $75 - 1 hour session $95 - 1 1/2 hour session

  • Swedish Massage

The scientific manipulation of the soft tissue of the body. It is applied with hands, palms and loose fists by using light to firm pressure that is of a gliding, kneading or compressing nature. Excellent for relaxation or stress reduction. Swedish massage is also classified as a "non-specific" massage helping to improve circulation, muscle tone and lymph drainage. This massage focuses on the whole body and is not intended to work with any specific problems. $30 - 1/2 Hour Session $60 - 1 Hour Session $85 - 1 1/2 Hour Session $110 - 2 Hour Session
